The Intensive Web Business Training course is designed to set you on the road to your very own web design business.
This 15 hour one on one training course will teach you the foundations of photo editing and web design as well as search engine optimisation, how to correctly set up your company and how to find and prospect to new clients.
At the end of the course you will be ready to approach your first clients and build a website based on the client’s specifications as well as how to upsell your services and generate new sales.
Course Modules
Module 1 – The Basics
In this lesson you will learn all the basics of web design including:
- Web Design and Image Editing Software
- Domain Name Registration & Web Hosting
- File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
- Control Panel Management & Professional Email Protocol.
Module 2 – An Introduction To Website Development
In this lesson you will learn about the different types of websites you can build. This includes:
- Programming Languages and how to choose the correct programming language for each project.
- An introduction to HTML
- An introduction to CSS
- An introduction to PHP
Module 3 – Starting A Website
This lesson focuses on the first steps of every website including:
- Building a project roadmap.
- Logo Design
- Usability & Site Navigation
- Home Page Design
- Inner Page Design
Module 4 – Design to Development
In this lesson you will learn how to turn your design into a web ready design. This includes:
- Converting your design to HTML
- Converting your design to CSS
- Adding Menus, Links and Images to your web page
- Correctly formatting your website for the internet
Module 5 – Design To Development Continued
In this lesson you will learn how to turn your home page into a 5 page website including:
- Formatting your website for Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox & Google Chrome
- Creating internal links and navigation
- Creating online contact forms
- Creating Internal Pages (About Us, Services etc.)
Module 6 – Introduction To SEO
In this lesson you will learn the importance of Search Engine Optimisation. This includes:
- Correctly formatting your website for search engines.
- On site tips and tricks for gaining higher rankings.
- Understanding how search engines rank websites
- Google, Yahoo & Bing webmaster tools.
- Advanced SEO techniques.
Module 7 – Setting Up & Marketing Your Web Design Business
In this lesson you will learn how to prospect for, market to and generate ongoing work from clients. This includes:
- The web design & development contract.
- Prospecting letters and how to identify potential clients.
- Good business practices to protect both you and your client.
- Advertising & Marketing your business
- Additional services your business can offer.
- How much to charge for your services.

Course Requirements
Students seeking to partake in the Intensive Web Business Training course require no previous web design experience.
All that is required is a PC running Windows XP or better, a medium to fast speed broadband connection, and a willingness to learn!
Prior to the commencement of your course, Clear View Digital will provide you with a detailed list of the web design and photo editing software required which can be downloaded free.
